Hi, I'm Jess...
I have lived in Holliston for over a decade with my husband, instantly drawn to the town's charm, community, and strong school system. Over the years we've welcomed our 3 children, a cat, and a "skinny" pig to our family. I am a Project Manager by trade, but have been a full-time Stay-At-Home-Mom since the beginning of the pandemic. When my youngest children started Kindergarten last fall, I dove into volunteer work with the community. I currently serve as Director of Communications for the PTO and as Communications/PR Director for the Holliston Music & Arts Parent Association. I am also a board member of the Holliston Cultural Council and have contributed to local governance through my role on the Policy Advisory Committee. I additionally served as a parent representative for SEPAC during the Miller Assistant Principal search, helping interview candidates with a focus on special education and social-emotional learning.
These combined roles have prepared me to promote open dialogue, informed decision-making, and inclusive leadership—qualities I believe are especially important as Holliston enters the MSBA process. While I view the possibility of a new high school as both exciting and long overdue, I believe any project must move forward with transparency, collaboration, and careful planning to ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of the entire community. As a former Project Manager working towards a PMP certification, I am confident in my ability to contribute to this project in a way that is collaborative and transparent.
I have three elementary-aged children in the Holliston Public Schools and a deeply vested interest in the future of the community that I chose to raise my children in, which is why I am running for School Committee for a second time. I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and making sure every voice in our community is heard. I know our schools are strongest when there are positive, respectful relationships between administration, teachers, students, and families. We can’t move forward without that kind of collaboration—and it’s something I believe we need to rebuild in our district. That’s why I’m committed to being accessible and engaged: listening to your ideas, understanding your concerns, and making decisions that truly reflect the needs and priorities of our community.

My Platform

Thoughtful Planning
I believe decisions, policies, and projects should should be clearly defined, intentional, transparent, and grounded in the needs of our students and community—balancing long-term goals with practical decisions today. We must be proactive and intentional in identifying key stakeholders, resource allocation, milestones, budget, communication strategies, and risk management plans. We should also define success metrics in order to assess the success or shortcomings of these decisions and, if necessary, discuss remediation strategies.

Collaboration
I believe strong communication and collaboration are essential to being effective in any public office—especially on the School Committee. Families play a vital role in their children’s education, and I’m committed to maintaining an open dialogue so their voices are heard and reflected in decision-making. It’s just as important to work closely with school administration, respecting and relying on their expertise as educators, and to collaborate with other town boards like the Select Board and Finance Committee. At the heart of it all is building trust—by staying engaged, listening to the community, and strengthening the connection between schools, families, policymakers, and taxpayers.

Inclusive Education
I believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in an environment that recognizes and supports their individual strengths. That’s why I’m committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our schools—ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and supported. I will advocate for inclusive educational opportunities, strong academic programs, and a whole-child approach that reflects and respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and needs of all students.

My Vision for
the Future
Holliston Public Schools are entering an exciting period of change. With new administrative leadership in place, we have a real opportunity to reset and move forward in a positive direction. This is the moment to think carefully about the kind of leadership we want on the School Committee—leadership that comes with a clear plan, a willingness to collaborate across administration and town departments, strong communication with the community, and a commitment to maintaining a rich and inclusive curriculum. With the right approach, I truly believe we can strengthen our schools, better support our students, and restore Holliston’s standing as a top district in the MetroWest area.
